New Year, new skill?
Although the weather is grey and cold drawing and painting can help you forget what is going on outside. Many of my pupils have been regular attendees for years and enjoy what I often describe as playgroup for adults. You can spend a couple of hours playing with paint, charcoal or maybe try printing and all in a friendly, supportive environment.
This term we are going to be looking at colour mixing. If you don’t know how to make purple, grey, or the myriad shades of green, creating a stunning work of art will be difficult. We will be looking at wintry landscapes, leaves and flowers, experimenting with acrylics and the ever popular ‘painting in the style of’.
In the last session the class channeled Georgia O’Keefe, Reflections of Lake George, in acrylic.. it seemed deceptively simple but was a challenge!
